Reading as a Productive Skill and Visual Response as a Reading Strategy

The paper discusses the visual response to text as a reading strategy employed determine which parts or main ideas of reader focuses on while reading. It starts with an assumption that every is unique experience readers bring their previous experiences, cultural and social backgrounds, well general specific knowledge. Therefore, aim provide better insight into active (Carillo 2017) present results case study that, through responses reading, also addresses processing in multimodal setting. methodological framework comprises task requires draw sketch interpretation text. In this way, sketching used complementary component visualization tool process (Wilhelm 1995; Fernandes 2018).
